About the event
Grgich Hills Estate—a family owned and operated, certified organic winery in California’s Napa Valley—crafts exquisite wines from its five estate vineyards, spread out over 366 acres.
Miljenko “Mike” Grgich first gained international recognition at the celebrated Paris Tasting of 1976. In that now-historic blind tasting, a panel of eminent French judges chose the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, crafted by Grgich in the Napa Valley, as the finest white wine in the world. The results stunned the international wine establishment and served notice to the world that the California wine industry was on the move. It also laid the groundwork for the creation of Grgich Hills Estate.
In addition to its celebrated, richly complex Chardonnays, Grgich Hills also produces classic Cabs and award-winning Zinfandels. The 1989 Grgich Hills Zinfandel was named Best Zinfandel, Worldwide at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London.
Join Grgich Hills’ Sean Barrett for a special, one-night-only wine dinner on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Wild Plum. Chef Alex Cardoza has designed a six-course, seasonal menu to highlight some of the winery’s’ most popular offerings. There will also be special deals on Grgich wines available for purchase that evening. Check out the full menu and buy tickets below.
